Day 3...

When I am at home I have been wearing hats on my head to block me from pulling. Every time I have the urge, I pause, think about what I am doing, and get up and move around to get my mind off of things. I find that when I get the urge is when I am thinking about a lot of things in the near future that I have to deal with.

I recently quit smoking as well ... I must say, for me this is harder to quit pulling than it was smoking. Amazing. Probably because I have been pulling longer and it's less expensive..  I can do this!

Tips for quiting Trich so far:


  • Wear hats at home, or when/where you pull the most at
  • When you have the urge, stop/reflect about what you are doing, get up and move!
  • Try to refrain from "Awarding yourself" thinking that oh well I didn't pull that much so maybe just a few... NAH UH! Don't do it! If you must reward yourself(& is a good idea to do so) - reward yourself with something else you like that is positive (replace the negative with a positive - thanks mom)

Hair's pulled these past three days:
- Roughly about 20....
